US gives twenty vessels to coast guard, navy

To help Bangladesh increase its ability to respond to threats in the country's coast waters and Economic Exclusive Zone, the US has donated 20 ships to Bangladesh. The vessels were handed over by Earl Miller, the US Ambassador, to the Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Coast Guard. This was done in a virtual ceremony, with Rear Admiral Ashraf Hoq Chowdhury (director general of the Bangladesh Coast Guard), and Bangladesh Assistant Chief Naval Staff for Operations, Rear Admiral M Ashraful Haq, Bangladesh Assistant Chief Naval Staff for Operations.
